We train people of all levels including adults and children. All of our drone instructors are FAA Part 107 Certified, insured and have hundreds of hours of drone flight experience.

Elena Buenrostro
Founder & CEO
Elena is a Video Producer, Photographer, Part 107 Certified Drone Pilot and Instructor. As featured in The Washington Post, Fast Company and on DJI for her aerial photography and cinematography, Elena’s passion for flying drones stemmed from her trip to the Great Wall of China. From there, her curiosity turned into a hobby and now a passion and career. Elena graduated with a B.A. in Media Studies & Theatre from the University of California, San Diego.

Eliza Sarobhasa
Director of Communications and Business Development
Eliza Sarobhasa owns a DJI Phantom 3 and currently test flights in the forest, mountains, and oceans of Vancouver, BC. She loves using her drone for robotics, 3D mapping, geospatial, and satellite imagery projects. Her upcoming project is using her drone for wildfire prevention, fire surveillance, and search and rescue. She is currently involved in researching aviation, aerospace, space robotics, satellites, and internet history.
She has been marketing for over 11 years, and works in both advertising and software products. Her many hats include roles from Data Science, Project Management, UI/UX Design, Open Source Software, and Linguistics.

Yasmin Tajik
Brand Ambassador Team Lead
Yasmin is a professional photographer and drone pilot based in Arizona. She has been traveling internationally since she was 5 years old, which sparked her deep-seated interest in exploring new and exciting corners of the world, especially meeting new people. Her humanitarian and documentary work covers issues in social causes and civil rights including stories on refugee resettlement, asylum seekers, and international stories covering gender equality in Iceland and the rise of Islam in Cuba. Her goal is to inspire and create change by sharing images that document the basic rights we all deserve living on this planet.

Dr. Catherine Ball
Advisor
Associate Professor Catherine Ball is an advisor, author, founder, executive producer, executive director, company director, and diversity advocate working across global projects where emerging technologies meet humanitarian, education and environmental needs. Catherine also likes to create businesses and champion movements, collaborate with peers, and advise game-changers.
A sought-after voice across the start-up, futurist and tech world, Catherine works globally across a wide range of projects from creating documentaries and world leading conferences and events, to advising on the use of drones across environmental and humanitarian projects. Catherine is a proponent of community engagement with technology and likes to demystify emerging tech.
Catherine holds a BSc Honours (Environmental Protection) and a PhD (Spatial Ecology, Descriptive and Predictive Statistics) from the University of Newcastle-upon-Tyne in the United Kingdom.

Ella Sophia
Certified Drone Pilot & Instructor, Social Media Coordinator
Ella is a college student currently pursuing her a Bachelor’s degree in business Entrepreneurship and Film. Ella found herself in the world of drones when she decided to buy her first drone and took a college course that ended with her obtaining her Part 107 drone certification. Ella joined the Women Who Drone team in the summer of 2018 and since then has become a driving force behind Women Who Drone as an Certified Drone instructor, Drone Pilot and Social Media Coordinator. She is very passionate about all things digitally creative and aspires to continue improving her photography, videography and graphic design skills.

Psyona Williams

Psyona has always loved photography and filmmaking since she can remember, she purchased her first drone in 2017 and went on to obtain her PfCO in 2018. Psyona graduated university in Film Studies in 2018 and now works as a freelance drone operator and video editor. Follow my work, @psyonaa

Loretta E. Alkalay
Drone Instructor
Loretta is an aviation attorney and regulatory consultant to airmen, aviation entities and foreign civil aviation authorities, specializing in issues related to compliance with federal aviation regulations, including drone rules.
She is also an adjunct professor at Vaughn College of Aeronautics and Technology where I teach drone laws, aviation safety and other courses both in New York and abroad. Loretta has taught for Vaughn in joint degree programs with universities in Hyderabad, India and in Shanghai, China.
Previously, she was an attorney for the Federal Aviation Administration for over 30 years, more than 20 of those years as Regional Counsel in New York. As head of the FAA’s New York legal office, she was responsible for advice and counsel on all FAA legal matters arising in seven states and enforcement of the federal aviation regulations in those states, the District of Columbia, Europe, the Mid-East, Africa and parts of Asia.
Loretta holds a B.A. from Cornell University, cum laude and with distinction, and a J.D. from the NYU School of Law. She holds an FAA remote pilot certificate with sUAS rating.
